"...no matter how stressed-out I was, Zoe always remained calm. To me, that was worth a million bucks."

I hired Zoe to help me put my life back together after the death of my mother. Due to my mom’s illness, I had literally put almost all aspects of my life on-hold, & didn’t notice how much my world was crumbling around me, nor did I care. I had more neglected new & old projects to finish than I could possibly handle, not to mention simply needing to catch-up with my daily life.

I had also gone through at least a dozen employees before I found Zoe. Not one could provide me with, or follow-through on, what they promised to deliver. They merely claimed to have the skills that Zoe actually does possess in spades. She also really takes the time to get to know you – what your likes & dislikes are, the whole enchilada. Now that’s doing your homework so you be an asset to your projects & employer.

So, if you have not worked with Zoe Johnson yet, you’re in for great relief & satisfaction by way of getting your “To-Do” lists & goals accomplished. Truly, she will help you meet your needs with as little stress as possible, & she actually enjoys being of service. The pride she takes in her work is self-evident.

And no matter how stressed-out I was, Zoe always remained calm. To me, that was worth a million bucks. Who actually goes above & beyond to learn new skills (ASAP) for an employer these days – on their own time? That really impressed me about Zoe. She actually cares about meeting your needs & trying to improve your level of happiness & contentment in being able to control your own life & have it be manageable.

I’m enamored with the idea of aging with dignity and grace.

I’ve been meeting with a powerful group of folks led by Jim Corcoran and Gary Marschke. These gentlemen have formed a group that actively creates a community dialog addressing Artfully Aging and more! They’ve been joined by Amy Henderson and Mike Johnson of The Geezer Gallery. The entire group is infused with a zest for life, music, art and collaboration.

Their vision also unfolds with DreamSeed. The mission of Dreamseed is establishing a value system/currency that will allow vendors and clients to collaborate within the TimeBank model.

Following an introductory meeting of the vision of Dreamseed: (under the umbrella of the Aging Artfully Initiative) I visited with another group of Portland’s visionaries: MotiveSpace.

MotiveSpace is headed by Sara Garrett and a host of others. They thrive on the idea of rethinking Portland’s currency while creating spaces and coalitions for continuity.

Bravo for such groups who are doing much to create community spaces. They recognize the connection of vitality, vibrancy and a sense of community in neighborhoods within the people who inhabit them.

The entire week evolved and was driven by synchronicity. I’d been collaborating with Angela Wilkinson of The Goddess Next Door. Her focus is constantly shifting yet she continues to empower women as they move through their lives. She has a sense of self and courage that is infectious!

The week was crowned by a idea filled luncheon with Rachael Lorenz. As a corporate image consultant and freelance contemporary art writer for the Examiner and chiconthestreet blogger, she exemplifies grace in process.

Clearly, aging gracefully is in the air! Before the week ended I posted to my calendar September 11, 2009 to attend Amy Gorman’s speaking engagement highlighting Aging and Creativity: Aging Artfully.
